Both teams struggled with the stormy weather conditions, which severely affected the game.
Sytchev and Izmailov missed their chances in the opening minutes. Rubin sharp counter-attack ended with Boyarintsev bicycle shot and soon after that Loskov's long-range shot went just over the cross-bar. At 29 minutes Sytchev broke into Rubin penalty area, but Kozko parried his shot and Ashvetia missed from narrow angle after rebound. The goalkeeper made another great save after Bilyaletdinov shot. Near the half-time Sennikov collided with Bairamov and was substituted. Rubin free-kick by Calisto went near the post.
Early in the second half Rubin had several good chances, but Ovchinnikov played well and at 58 minute the ball hit the cross-bar after another Calisto shot. Then Loko took control of the game again. At 69 minute Evseev shot from close range, but Kozko saved.
Due to extremely bad weather Lokomotiv had to postpone their return to Moscow until Sunday.
Yuri Semin press-conference:
Our team played reliably enough. The boys returned after the game for the National team with positive emotions and in good physical state. Another story is that it is hard to show quality football in such a bad weather and on a terrible pitch. Both teams tried, but it was hard even to pass the ball.
Diniyar Bilyaledinov looked up to the mark today. And I would also point out Marat Izmailov. Both of them played well.
